The Italian people were very proud with their police forces, as the Italian police department got equipped with really fast cars, including Lamborghini Gallardo models. One year ago, the Italian State Police received a police version of the famous Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 to aid their efforts of fighting crime. Now, the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera reports that the famous police version of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 got totaled. It seems that the 560 horsepower police supercar, which was being driven by a lucky police officer, was cruising on the road when a vehicle pulled out all of a sudden from a petrol station. In an attempt to avoid a direct collision, the police officer swerved and crashed into a couple of parked cars. Unfortunately, the police Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 ended up under a Mercedes Benz A-Class. The bright side of this news is that the police officers that were in the Lamborghini were only slightly injured.
We have to mention that a lot of people seem to believe that the car that got crashed is a simple police version Lamborghini Gallardo, and not the LP560-4. Still, I tend to believe the people reporting from the scene of the incident, namely the Italian press.
