New Porsche Boxster Spyder shown on video

Porsche has released an official video showing some driving footage of their new Porsche Boxster Spyder. The new Porsche Boxster Spyder is able to go from standstill to 100 km/h or 62 mph in only 4.8 seconds thanks to a tweaked 3.4 liter boxer engine that is capable of producing 320 horsepower. Another important factor for the performances of the Porsche Boxster Spyder is the weight, which is of just 2810 lbs or 1275 kilograms. The weight figure is quite decent for a car that has a folding roof. The Porsche Boxster Spyder is practically the lightest and quickest version of the Porsche Boxster up until now.

The Porsche Boxster Spyder will be the third member of the Boxster family, after the Porsche Boxster and the Porsche Boxster S. The Porsche Boxster Spyder will hit the market in the month of February of the next year. The world debut of the Porsche Boxster Spyder took place this week, at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show.
