Los Angeles Auto Show debut for Volkswagen New Beetle Final Edition

Los Angeles Auto Show debut for Volkswagen New Beetle Final Edition

It is always sad to see a legendary car coming to an end. Volkswagen has announced the launch of a special Final Edition version at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show of the Volkswagen New Beetle. The Volkswagen New Beetle Final Edition will hit the US market in the spring of the next year in a limited edition run of 1500 units each. After 11 years in production, the Volkswagen New Beetle will soon find a place in the books of automotive history.

The Volkswagen New Beetle will get a small number of upgrades and features, including a two tone Aquarius Blue and Campanella White paint scheme with a white top on the convertible and a special Aquarius Blue paint with a painted black roof on the coupe. Other features of the Volkswagen New Beetle include 17 inch alloy wheels, individually numbered badges, a sport suspension and fog lights.

We will also get to see a white interior that matches the top in the case of the convertible, as well as individually numbered Final Edition steering wheel.

The Volkswagen New Beetle will get its power from a 2.5 liter inline five cylinder gasoline engine matted to a six speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, so there are no changes under the hood.

The Volkswagen New Beetle Final Edition convertible will have a base price of 27.170 dollars while the Volkswagen New Beetle Final Edition coupe will have a base price of 20.240 dollars.

We do not have any official details if there will be a new generation of the Volkswagen Beetle, so this might be the end for a legendary car.
