Limited edition Jeep Wrangler Mountain and Island to debut at Detroit

This seems to be the day of limited edition models. After telling you about three limited edition models from Chrysler, it is time to tell you about two limited edition models from Jeep. Actually, we are staying in the family, as Jeep is owned by Chrysler.

More precisely, Jeep will showcase a pair of limited edition Jeep Wrangler models named Mountain and islander at the 2010 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

The Jeep Wrangler Mountain is based on the Jeep Wrangler Sport S package and is offered on both the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4X4 models. The Jeep Wrangler Mountain will be available in a choice of three colors, including Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat, Rescue Green Metallic Clear Coat and Brilliant Black Crystal pearl coat.

The upgrades of the Jeep Wrangler Mountain for the interior are quite minor, including anodized graphite heating, ventilation and air conditioning rings as well as embossed seat inserts. On the other hand, the exterior features are more significant, including a Mopar fuel filler door, a unique ``Mountain`` decal on the hood, black tail lamp guards, painted high gloss Mineral Gray 17 inch Moab wheels, 32 inch tires, grille and bumper appliqués as well as tubular side steps.

The price of the Mountain package will be of 1820 dollars.

The Jeep Wrangler Islander will be available on the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4x4 models. Potential buyers will have to choose from a variety of four colors, including Brilliant Black Crystal Clear Coat, Surf Blue Pearl Coat, Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat and Stone White Clear Coat.

The main features of the Jeep Wrangler Islander include Mopar rubber floor mats, seats in dark gray with Surf Blue inserts, leather wrapped steering wheel with blue stitching as well as blue stitching and embroidered Islander ``Tiki Bob`` logo for the interior of the car. The exterior features of the Jeep Wrangler Islander include Moab 17 inch wheels with 32 inch tires, an Islander ``Tiki Bob`` decal on the hood and blackside steps.

The price of the Islander package will be of 1120 dollars.

I think that the Jeep Wrangler equipped with either one of these two packages looks very good. The Mountain package really makes the car look like a mean mountain conquering machine while the Islander package makes you dream of a nice vacation somewhere on a beach.
