The 2010 Geneva Motor Show will most likely be the most important event of the year for the auto industry. A lot of automakers are planning to publicly present their latest models there, as all the eyes of the press will be looking very closely at the event that will take place in March. The Swedish automaker Volvo is no exception, as they plan to make the world debut of the all new Volvo S60 sedan during the Swiss auto event.

Still, the Geneva Motor Show is about one month away, so until then the Swedish automaker has launched a video in which we can see the new Volvo S60 on the road and in the desert. Two more promotional videos will be launched this month, in order to keep the interest of the media high.

Rumors suggest that the new Volvo S60 sedan will get its power from a choice of turbocharged gasoline engines with direct injection, including the newest 2.0 GTDI engine that has an output of 203 horsepower and the 1.6 liter four cylinders engine that has an output of 180 horsepower. The all new Volvo S60 sedan is based on the concept model that was presented at the 2009 Detroit Motor Show. The production of the new Volvo S60 will begin this summer at the Ghent plant in Belgium. Volvo has high hopes for the new S60, as it will go against cars like the BMW 3-Series or the Audi A4.
