2nd of February 2010 Anybody interested in the world of cars surely knows that the Ford Model T was the first automobile accessible to the masses, being considered the ``Big Bang`` of the entire car industry. Without the Ford Model T, who knows if today we would have had an auto industry with cars that are affordable to basically the vast majority of people.
Having in mind as a start point exactly the Ford Model T, a Brazilian designer named Eduardo Oliveira created a compact crossover named Ford Model T, which wants to be a modern day resurrection of the legendary model. Practically, he wanted to create a modern car that keeps a big part of the design elements and other qualities of the original Ford Model T.
The styling elements that seem to be common to the original Ford Model T includes the opposite angle of the lower part of the rear hatch that houses the spare tire, the pronounced wheel arches that encompass the wheels that are pushed out to the corners of the vehicles and the gaudy grille that reminds us of the front of the original Ford Model T.
The modern Ford Model T could get its power from a four cylinders gasoline engine or even a hybrid drivetrain. The compact crossover should have a length of about 4200 millimeters, two exterior storage compartments located on either side of the bumper, suicide style rear doors and five seats.
I have to say I am really impressed by this concept study. The car rendered by the Brazilian artist really has common styling patterns with the original Ford Model T. Sure, it might not be the best looking car or it might even be a huge failure if launched onto the market, but Eduardo Oliveira managed to do exactly what he wanted: to create a modern day version of the Ford Model T.
