First official video of Renault Wind released

After the official revealing that took place a day or two ago, Renault launched the first official video of its new Renault Wind. The almost one minute long video shows us the rotating top of the Renault Wind in action. More precisely, the novel electric roof of the Renault Wind manages to pivot open in 12 seconds without having any effect on luggage space.

The coupe cabriolet Renault Wind is based on the Renault Twingo , but it is 230 millimeters longer and has its own unique styling and it will be sold separately. More precisely, the Renault Wind is a two seat model that shares its platform and mechanical hardware with the Renault Twingo , but it is 230 millimeters longer than the hatchback, having a length of 3830 millimeters. The Renault Wind will get its power from a naturally aspirated 1.6 liter engine capable of developing 133 horsepower and from a 1.2 liter turbocharged engine that has an output of 100 horsepower, both being gasoline units. The most interesting feature is the electric roof that rotates 180 degrees into the trunk, using a very similar system to the one used on the Ferrari 575 Superamerica. The Renault Wind will compete against the Peugeot 207CC.
