New exterior and interior photos of Dacia Duster

About 10 years ago Dacia was on the edge of bankruptcy. At that time Dacia had some old styled models that reminded everyone of the communist regime of Ceausescu. Things changed at 180 degrees after Renault took over the Romanian automaker. In present, in times of harsh financial crisis, Dacia is one of the best sold automakers in countries like France, Germany or Spain. The reason? Dacia has decent cars for low prices. You can get a Dacia Logan for as low as 6400 Euro.

Seeing how well the Dacia brand is going, Renault is continuously developing new models. Thus, the newest addition to the Dacia family will be the Dacia Duster, a small SUV / CUV. What we have here is a photo gallery in which we can see the Dacia Duster photographed inside and out in public. From what it seems, these pictures were taking at some kind of dealer presentation in Romania.

From what we can see in the pictures below, the interior of the Dacia Duster looks quite a lot like the one of the Nissan Qashqai , excepting the previous generation Renault switchgear. Overall, the interior has a clean design, well fit for a low cost model.

The four wheel drive system that will be used on the Dacia Duster is borrowed from Nissan and has three different driving modes: 4x2, where the transmission is locked into two wheel drive; Lock, where 50% of torque is consistently fed through the rear axle and Auto, which splits front / rear torque according to grip.

The Dacia Duster will get its power from a range of three engines, including a dCi diesel unit that has an output of 105 horsepower and a 1.6 liter gasoline engine with outputs of 85 horsepower and 110 horsepower. The Dacia Duster will have a width of 1820 millimeters and a length of 4310 millimeters. Practically, the Dacia Duster is built on the same platform as the Dacia Logan and will be able to accommodate five passengers.
