Failed online launch of 2010 Virgin VR-01 Formula 1 car

The Virgin Formula 1 team had a very unlucky start of the 2010 season. You would think that if you can build a Formula 1 car, you can handle a live stream too. Well, it seems that the guys working for Virgin are only car geeks and not technology geeks. The launch of the Virgin VR-01 2010 Formula 1 car ended in disappointment, when the live online video stream failed to take place. Technical problems prevented the live stream to take place, so the planned online live video stream did not take place. Thus, the first photos of the red and black Formula 1 car appeared a couple of hours later.

The Virgin VR-01 has now been taken to the Silverstone race track for a two day test session and it will join the official group test action at Jerez next week.

The quote of the day is offered by Brazilian driver of Virgin, Lucas di Grassi, who said ``Calm down people. I'll ask if I can put a picture on Twitter``. Erm…thank God for Twitter?

Anyway, the 2010 Formula 1 season will be a very interesting one. The ambitions are high as McLaren has two world champions driving for them (Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button), a thing that did not happen since the Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna period while Mercedes has bought Brawn GP, so this year the Mercedes Formula 1 team will include team manager Ross Brawn and the comeback of Michael Schumacher. Should I even mention that Ferrari wants to make its comeback after a horrible last season and that Fernando Alonso will be looking for another world title with the Italian team?
