Akio Toyoda apologises for Toyota problems

Akio Toyoda is the grandson of Kiichiro Toyoda, the founder of the Japanese automaker Toyota. Currently, Akio Toyoda is the president and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation. As we all know, Toyota is currently going through one of the most difficult times of the company, as its public image of a safe car has been, at least in part, thrown to the trash after a large number of accidents that happened due to mechanical failures of their models which had as a result the recalling of over four million cars worldwide for repairs.

Now, the president and CEO of Toyota , mister Akio Toyoda, has come forward to the press in order to apologize for the recalls. This comes as a gesture of honor, as it can not have any real consequence if we take into consideration that the stocks of the Japanese company have lost about 30 billion U.S. dollars in value since the start of this crisis. In the past 10 years about 8 million Toyota models have been recalled for fixing. 19 crash deaths in the United States of America were blamed on the accelerator problem until now. Must we even remind you of the new problems with the braking system of the Toyota Prius ?

Akio Toyoda has stated ``I would like to take this opportunity to apologise from the bottom of my heart for causing many of our customers concern after the recalls across several models in several regions``. He continued by saying ``Believe me, Toyota cars are safe``.

Hopefully, Toyota will be able to fix all their problems as it would be a shame to see one of the biggest automakers hit bankruptcy in times of deep economic crisis.
