8th of February 2010 AK-Car Design is a relatively recent created German tuning company. AK-Car design was founded by Adolf Koch, who worked 47 years for the famous tuning company Lorinser. Thus, after he reached the age of 65, the age of retirement, he started this new company. Until now, he created grilles for practically almost all the Audi models and created more thorough projects for cars like the Volkswagen Passat , BMW 3-Series Cabrio and the Mercedes E-Class station wagon and coupe.
Thus, it comes as a surprise that a tuning company that is not exactly one of the main players in the industry has decided (and had the money) to modify a supercar. More precisely, AK-Car Design decided to modify the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Gullwing .
The modifications done by AK-Car Design include new decorative trim on the air vents on the front fender and the B-column, new alloy wheels, reshaped diffuser housing two sets of tail pipes, new side skirts, new front and rear bumpers as well as a restyled grille.
Unfortunately, the German tuning company did not disclose any information regarding availability or pricing. You can see how the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Gullwing looks after it has been modified by AK-Car Design in the pictures below.
