Honda has been trying to make some extra cash by launching a number of special edition versions of mass production models. One of the most interesting special edition models launched by the Japanese automaker is the Honda Civic Type R MUGEN that gets its power from a 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine that has an output of 240 horsepower. The Honda Civic Type R MUGEN will be sold in only 20 units in Great Britain for a price of 44.400 Euros (60.300 U.S. dollars or 38.599 British pounds).

Today, the Japanese automaker has announced that they will launch a less hardcore version of the Honda Civic Type R MUGEN, named Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 200. The special edition Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 200 will get its power from the same 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine available in the standard Honda Civic Type R that has an output of 201 horsepower.

The Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 200 will have some interesting features, including a standard limited slip differential, an individually numbered plaque, MUGEN badges, glossy black door mirrors, 19 inch alloy wheels, a different rear bumper with an integrated diffuser housing two big tail pipes, a huge rear wing, new side skirts, a new front bumper, as well as a Championship White exterior finish.

The Japanese automaker also mentioned that a range of tuning parts to enhance the chassis will also be available as dealer fit options. More details, including pricing details, will be revealed next month as the Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 200 will be built in a number of only 200 units, with sales to begin in April.
