17th of February 2010 Africa is known as being the poorest and most underdeveloped continent on planet Earth, but South Africa is has one of the most thriving economies, having the highest nominal GDP (Gross Domestic Product) out of all the African countries. Obviously, as the economy grew year after year, a class of wealthy people appeared in South Africa, a class that could afford extremely expensive exotic cars.
Thus, it came as no surprise to me that a Lamborghini Murcielago collided into a Ferrari F430 at a wedding in South Africa. Sure, if it would have happened in Zimbabwe it would have been a different story, but the life in South Africa is not all that bad. According to the information provided by the local media, the owners of the two cars are a guy named ND Sibiya (no information about him) and Romeo Mbambo, who is said to be a former hitman for IFP (Inkatha Freedom Party, a South African political party). The guys managed somehow to crash into each other during a VIP wedding reception at a sports club in the town of Eshowe.
People who witnessed this scene said that both drivers became aggravated when people started to take pictures, and they even assaulted one man, threatened a local journalist and seized mobile phones with cameras. So much for that, as you can see.
Check out the pictures below to see how the Ferrari F430 and the Lamborghini Murcielago look after the collision.
