Real or fake Photo of new Porsche Cayenne appears online ?

From time to time, automakers ``accidentally`` leak photos of their future models, in order to attract the attention of the media. Still, you can never be sure when this happens if the photos are legit, as there are a lot of skillful people that with the help of professional software like Photoshop can make something fake look like the real thing.

What we have here is a screenshot (not your regular photo…) from the European configurator of Porsche in which we can see what seems to be the next generation Porsche Cayenne SUV. In any case, the new Porsche Cayenne will make its world debut in 10 days at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, so there is not much waiting to do before we will see whether this photo is legit or if it is a nice piece of work from some Photoshop master. Obviously, if you visit the exact same webpage now you will get to see the current generation Porsche Cayenne. So what it is, real or fake?

The Porsche Cayenne mid-size crossover SUV has been in production since 2002 and is currently manufactured at the Porsche factory in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is obviously that it is time for a second generation after eight years of production, including a mid-life facelift back in 2008. The platform for the Porsche Cayenne was develop by the German automaker and was also used for the first generation Volkswagen Touareg.
