2010 update for Renault Twingo

Renault tweaked Twingo a bit and is presenting now this year updated Twingo unit line.

Clients that want a Twingo model can choose now between 6 'civilian' levels of equipment and 2 Renault Sport variants. The Acces is the entry level of the line-up. It's followed by Authentique, Rip Curl and Expression. On the upper Twingo range level you'll find GT and Initiale variants. The sport arm of Renault is offering the Gordini R.S. and R.S. variants, powered by a 1.6 liter 133 HP engine.

Twingo's entry level unit will be fitted with the 1.2 liter 60 HP costing 7,990 Euro, for the Acces level of equipment. On the other scale end, you will find Twingo Initiale running with the dCi diesel 85 HP model, retailing for the sum of 17,000 Euro. Twingo R.S. is yours for 15,900 Euro, meanwhile Twingo Gordini R.S. costs 17,750 Euro.

The most important styling modifications for this year include the long availability of the bumper dedicated previously to the GT and Dynamique units, fresh exterior panoramic mirrors plus a brand new leather Haircell upholstery for Initiale. The design package of R.S., available for Twingo R.S. got an all-new body color, named Glacier White.

The engine inside Twingo is also improved, as 3 models have been changed, returning improved consumption of fuel and emissions of CO2 numbers. The 1.2 75 HP engine emits at the moment 114 g CO2/km; TC3 100 model posts a 132 g/km CO2 emissions and the sporty 1.6 liter 133 HP engine emits now 160 g CO2/km.

Twingo 2010 will be available from March on a few markets in Europe, as well as in Japan and South Africa.
