Audi is optimistic about first quarter sales

Audi expects an important growth on sales in the 1st quarter of 2010, especially after the positive February results. Audi sales last month were raised to 75,900 cars, a 19.9 % increase if you compare it to last year period.

The American sales increased too; official numbers showing a growth of 33.6 % compared to 2009's February. The company sold 6,216 autos, compared to 4.653 last year. In these 1st 2 months of 2010, Audi’s sales raised to 35.7 percent to 12,726 from past year's 9,375 sold cars in the same 2009 period.

Johan de Nysschen, Audi of America President said Audi continues with the positive sales momentum in America gathered throughout last year. We are confident these next months will continue validating how Audi captured the U.S. premium car buyers' imagination.

In the Chinese territory, that became recently the biggest market for Audi, the German firm posted 61.7 points increase previous month, having 15,108 models total delivering.

Audi is hoping the newly-unveiled A1 unit will contribute to the global increase of the brand, together with all those new green cars prepared for debut in the upcoming years. Audi works on the revival of A2, but the all-new model will see the light in 4 years approximately.
