11th of March 2010 The people in Korea are not poor it seems, as Kia has reported its worldwide sales numbers for passenger vehicles recreational autos and commercial cars for February this year. The carmaker sold 143,267 models, including domestic sales, export sales and overseas factories sales. This is representing a year-on-year 39.5 percent increase.
The sales for Kia went up worldwide: 128.6 percent in China (25,435 models sold), 52.7 percent in general markets (with 32,578 cars sold), 34.4 percent in Europe (24,992 autos sold), 21.6 percent in Korea (33,209 vehicles sold) and 11.4 percent in North America (having 27,053 models sold). General markets are including the areas of South and Central America, the Caribbean, the Pacific, Africa, Middle East and Asia (excluding the Chinese territory).
On the 1st 2 months of this year the year-on-year sales of Kia increased by 50.6 percent reaching 293,659 models. The highest profit in sales was on the market in China, that went up 180.9 percent based on the sales of 61,339 cars to date in present year.
The rest of the areas have showed all cumulative amazing year-on-year sales raises: 42.8 percent in Europe (50,208 models sold), 36.2 percent in Korea (67,216 sold) 7.0 percent in North America (51,591) and 56.7 percent in general markets (with 63,305 cars sold). Subscribe to Car news by Email |
