13th of March 2010 NMT (Nissan Motor Thailand) announced officially the all-new Nissan March production is on its way. This action was celebrated with over 200 employees and guests, including Thai government representatives and the deputy prime minister, Trirong Suwanakiri.
The car will be debuted officially on 26th of March at the 2010 Bangkok International Motor Show and will be the 1st auto made under the eco-car Thailand program. This eco-car title is hard to get, as the vehicle has to make all the requirements needed about emissions and low consumption of fuel, standards for passenger safety for side and front impact under the United Nations Economic Commission standards for Europe (94 and 95 UNECE regulation).
Toshiyuki Shiga, Nissan's COO said that with a Thailand raising car population in and true concerns involving higher levels of pollution in cities across the state, we're debuting a product with fewer emissions of CO2 and less impact on the environment. Nissan March is to be made on the V-platform running with a 3-cylinder 1.2-liter engine having 79 hp (108Nm) output plus emissions of 120g/km CO2 (under the regulation 101 of UNECE). March has a manual 5-speed transmission or a brand new CVT (continuous variable transmission).
The auto has a price tag from 375,000 baht (11,472 US Dollars) to 537,000 baht (16,428 US Dollars). Subscribe to Car news by Email |
