They say money can buy anything you want, no matter how stupid your desires are. This saying applies for the extremely rich people in the Middle East. It is well known that the rich sheiks are real car fanatics, so it comes as no big surprise that the filthy rich people in the Middle East wanted to have their very own auto themed amusement park. Instead of opening a new Disneyland they will open a new theme park named Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.
Details are starting to come as we get closer to the actual launch date. What we have here are a first set of photos and a first video regarding the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. One of the main attractions will certainly be represented by the Ferrari F430 GT roller coaster. Laugh all you want, but the guys in the Middle East actually paid someone to design roller coaster carts shaped like a replica of the Ferrari F430 Spider, being able to accommodate up to four visitors.
According to the Italian automaker, the Ferrari F430 GT roller coaster is a racing one. More precisely, the GT Racing Coaster will send two competing roller coaster carriages dashing along twisting parallel tracks on a race to the finish line. These guys wanted real life versions of the little toy cars that race on tracks that the kids of today have.
Another attraction of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will be the Formula 1 ride which should be the world`s fastest roller coaster, travelling at speeds of over 200 km/h and shooting passengers more than 62 meters through the roof and back down for a complete G-force experience.
The grand opening of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will take place in the second half of this year.
