First North American Lotus Evora delivered to Texas

The Lotus Evora made its world debut at the 2008 British International Motor Show (22 July 2008) and went on into production in the summer of 2009. The Lotus Evora is a sports car, being the only coupe with a middle engine that features a two plus two seat layout. The Lotus Evora gets its power from a 3.5 liter Toyota V6 engine that has an output of 276 horsepower. With a weight of 1380 kilograms, the Lotus Evora is able to reach a maximum speed of 261 km/h while accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The average fuel consumption of the Lotus Evora is of 8.69 liters per 100 kilometers.

About half a year after the production started, the North American continent finally got its first Lotus Evora. The happy owner is named Bruce Rice and he is from Austin, Texas. The first Lotus Evora in the United States comes in red and was delivered to the John Eagle European`s Lotus in Austin, Texas.

The lad looks quite happy with its car. Still, I can not help myself wondering whether he really wanted a Lotus Evora or he was dreaming of a Ferrari and the next best thing that he could afford was the British sports car? Anyway, if he is happy with it, then so be it. The guy does not look like your common redneck, so he might actually be a guy with fine taste.
