Chevrolet is trying to have no gaps in their lineup of Corvette models. They are doing this by launching a large number of limited edition models and sport packages so that everyone can get exactly what they want, without having any empty spots in terms of pricing or features.
The latest special edition model that was launched is the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon will be available in two exterior colors: the all new Supersonic Blue and Inferno Orange.
The interior of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon features logoed headrest, sill plate, a unique steering wheel emblem, blue or orange seat stitching to match the exterior color as well as ebony leather and suede interior.
The exterior features include black carbon fiber rockers and splitter, carbon fiber raised hood, body color door handles, a ZR-1 style body color spoiler, black mirrors and headlamps, enhanced cooling as well as a set of 20 spoke 19 inch (front) and 20 inch (rear) alloy wheels with Michelin PS2 tires.
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon gets some features from the top of the range Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 like the magnetic select ride control system or the Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.
The exact same cosmetic and performance upgrades will be available for the standard 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 under the form of two separate packages named CFZ Z06 and Z07. The CFZ Z06 package features aero modifications like black carbon fiber rockers, splitter and roof panel with the full width body color spoiler while the Z07 performance package adds all the chassis and cooling modifications as well as the Competition Gray 20 spoke alloy wheels.
The two packages along with the special edition 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with the market in June/July 2010.
