New spyshots of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG

New spy photos of the 2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG caught testing have been made.

From the spyshots we can see a few attributes that at present are known, such as a double louvre grille, LED headlights and a more upright front end to meet more stringent European pedestrian safety standards.

The current CLS 63 AMG shares its engine with the previous-generation E 63 AMG turbocharged 5.5-Liter V8 with an output of 544 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque (an optional Performance Pack could boost output to 571 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque) mated to a Speedshift MCT 7-speed gearbox.

This AMG features improved suspension, braking and aerodynamic touches, and 18" wheels.

It will go on sale in 2011 and will compete with the Porsche Panamera Turbo, Aston Martin Rapide and the future Audi S7.
