19th of April 2010 The Chinese auto industry is going through a period of growth in the last couple of years. There are lots of new companies from China that are trying to get on the market. IAT-Auto is such a company.
A quite unknown company until now, IAT-Auto from China announced that they will be displaying three new concept models at the upcoming 2010 Beijing Auto Show that will take place between the 23rd of April and the 27th of April.
IAT-Auto is a company which ``mainly engages in the development and design of automobile, engine and its power train, and their relative manufacture business``, according to their official website.
Even more, they offered a couple of details and photos of each of the three new concepts.
The first concept is named Bamboo Wind and it is an all electric, very futuristic model which will compete against other small MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) models in the market. The IAT-Auto concept can be recognized in the pictures below as being the green car that seems to be very eco friendly if we take into consideration the leaf pattern on it.
The second concept model, and the most interesting model if you ask me, is the eTAXI, which is a mid size sedan that gets its power from an electric motor. The car can be recognized in the pictures below by its Volkswagen inspired grille and headlights and the back inspired from the Chevrolet Volt.
The third concept will be named Wu Feng II, being, as the name suggests, a successor of the Wu Feng I. The Wu Feng II is a compact coupe with gullwing style doors and it should reach a maximum speed of 124 mph or 200 km/h while going from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 7 seconds. You can recognize the Wu Feng II in the pictures below as being the car that looks like an Audi TT with gullwing doors.
