If you live in Europe you surely must have heard of the big volcano eruption that took place in Iceland and of the volcanic ashes cloud that made all airports in Europe close. Well, it seems that with just hours before the volcano eruption in Iceland, a group of scientists driving a (slightly?) modified Toyota Hilux managed to get extremely close to the volcano mouth to take some pictures and do some tests (?).
Before the volcano eruption that sent a large cloud of volcanic ash about 10.000 meters into the sky, the scientists managed to set up monitoring equipment. To be honest, this is just a version of the story. Other sources indicate that the photos you can see below were taken by the Top Gear team, which were filming a new episode. This would not come as a surprise, as they previously managed to get to the North Pole in a similarly modified Toyota Hilux.
Whether it was a team of scientists or the Top Gear team, the facts remain the same. A modified Toyota Hilux managed to get extremely close to the volcano. The Toyota Hilux was modified with guards, winch and additional lights. But the most important modification is represented by the huge low pressure 38 inch tires. Now that`s what I call riding with style.
