Great Wall Motor, known as China's largest SUV manufacture, will launch its first A-Class sedan, the Tengyi C30, at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show this month.
The new model provides a roomy space for passengers and conforms to EU-level safety standards with the buffer beams strengthened on both sides. The energy absorption design is applied to the bumper, engine and 510-liter trunk.
The Tengyi C30 features a 1.5VVT aluminum engine with a maximum of 77kW power and 138Nm torque, as well as ABS (antilock braking system), EBD (electric brakeforce distribution), dual airbags, sunroof, leather seats and electronic anti-theft system.
The three-box C30 sedan rides on a 2610mm wheelbase – similar to that of Toyota's Corolla – but has a kerb weight of just 1136kg, a substantial 510-litre boot capacity and looks a little like the same brand’s Yaris.
The small sedan is expected to arrive in Australia in late 2011
