2011 Hyundai Elantra (Avante) revealed in Busan

The new generation of Hyundai Elantra, also known as Avante in some markets, has been unveiled during the Busan Motor Show in Korea.

With more sporty and the lines even more elegant than its predecessor, the new Elantra follows the new 'fluidic sculpture' design language, with four-door coupe styling, HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights and LED taillights.

According to Hyundai, the cabin offers "advanced features not found on other compacts." It features heated rear seats, ambient lighting, and a color TFT LCD information display.

The Elantra will be offered with a 1.6-liter Gamma GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) four-cylinder engine with 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) and 133 lb-ft (167 Nm) of torque, and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Korean sales will begin in the second half of 2010, with global availability shortly thereafter.
