A yellow Ferrari F430 Spider convertible, worth an estimated $900,000, burst into flames around noon, according to witnesses, along in Singapore.
A witness said that the smoke was higher than its office building.
It seems that the vehicle's driver knew the car was going to explode but did not have time to park behind the building. He evacuated the vehicle and fled the scene.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call from a member of the public at 11.56am and a fire engine reached the scene by 12.05pm. Although the fire was put out within 10 minutes, the car appears to be a total loss. But, most important, no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
