Panoz is not exactly one of the most famous automakers in the industry. They are a limited production sports car manufacturer, being founded in 1989 by Dan Panoz. Actually, even though he founded the company, it would have never been possible without the help of his dad, Don Panoz, a rich man known for his businesses in pharmaceutics. Panoz currently has its headquarters in a small city in Georgia, USA.
It is known for its motorsports activities rather than for its road cars. Actually, they have only two road car models: the Panoz Roadster and the Panoz Esperante (which has a number of versions). They are more famous in the world of motorsports. The Panoz MotorSport Group owns the American Le Mans Series, as it was created by Don Panoz. They also own and operate 3 road racing circuits in North America as well as having a racing school and their own racing series for young racing drivers.
Currently, the small American automaker is planning to have a major comeback in the world of road cars. They are planning to launch a new model named Panoz Abruzzi, which is supposed to be the ``Spirit of Le Mans``.
The Panoz Abruzzi ``is inspired from a classic era when racers would literally drive their own cars to Le Mans to compete and then drive back home. However, the technology of the Panoz Abruzzi `Spirit of Le Mans` is absolutely leading edge``.
Some of the most important features include the Trifecta Cooling, which is a system that provides secondary and tertiary cooling that is meant to chill anything flowing into or out of the radiator. Another feature is the fact that the Panoz Abruzzi is said to provide a lot of structural and performance advantages thanks to the fact that it will be made with REAMS, which is short for Recyclable Energy Absorbing Matrix System.
The reason we are talking about this car? Well, Panoz has made public another teaser photo before its launch that will take place at the Le Mans next month. You can check out the photo on the left. We are looking forward to more details about this, as it certainly got our attention.
