BMW to release limited edition Z4 Mille Miglia

In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its victory back in 1940 at the Mille Miglia automobile race in Brescia, BMW has announced that it will build a new version of the Z4 sDrive35is called the Mille Miglia Limited Edition.

BMW is only set to produce only 99 units of the Z4 in matte Polaris Metallic finish, with black front grille, featuring a M exterior package and 19-inch Dark Chrome rims.

Inside the limited edition Z4 will use leather with red stitching for contrast, paddles and steering wheel from M sports.

The Z4 will be powered by a new 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin turbo engine capable to deliver 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.8 seconds. The top speed is pegged at 250 km/h limited electronically. It will also have the Launch Control feature.

BMW also recreated a 328 Kamm Coupe that will be taking part in this year's Mille Miglia race.

"We are very proud to be lining up for the Mille Miglia again 70 years later with this milestone of motor racing history and vehicle aerodynamics," says Karl Baumer, Director of BMW Classic.
