Altech-Eco obtains certification from EPA for its technology

Altech-Eco Corporation of Asheville, North Carolina announced that it has obtained Certificate of Conformity (COC) from the EPA for their compressed natural gas (CNG) dedicated conversion system for the Ford Focus, for 2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 models.

The converted vehicles can operate 100% on natural gas, or as a Bi-Fuel version, with just the simple press of a dashboard button to instantly switch the fuels, offering a driving range of 500 miles

Altech-Eco's EPA approved CNG fuel conversion system not only helps the environment by providing the cleanest emissions of any production internal combustion vehicle, but also significantly reduces dependency on foreign oil, because the vehicle operates entirely on lower-cost natural gas, saving consumers and industry money at the pump.

The EPA has issued Altech-Eco four separate certificates for the Ford F-250 and F-350 for their Dedicated versions (the trucks that operate only on CNG). The models benefit from a $8,000 Federal Tax Credit, upon purchase.

Miles George, VP of Altech-Eco, said that the company is very proud because it has received the EPA Certification for the best pickup trucks in the world.
