Porsche goes online with the 911 GT2 RS configurator

The online configurator for the 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is now officially live on Porsche's international site.

You can choose various colors to customize the Porsche and you can add some options to complement the carbon hood. You can also get down working with that beautiful Alcantara/leather interior, choosing seats and colors.

The 2011 GT2 RS won't hit U.S. showrooms until October of this year with prices starting at $245,000.

Power for the 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS comes from a 3.6L flat six with twin, variable-geometry turbochargers allowing for a total of 620-hp. Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the GT2 RS makes the sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0 to 124 mph in just 9.8 seconds, and 0 to 186 mph in 28.9 seconds. Top speed is 205 mph.

Weight of the car has been cut by 154 pounds for a total of 3,020 pounds, allowing the car to have a power-to-weight ratio of just 4.9 lbs per horsepower. The 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS has a reported Nurburgring time of seven minutes and 18 seconds.
