I am not a fan of concept studies / design studies / design proposals. The reason for this is that most of them are just way too out of this world to be possible to be implemented anytime...this century. Sometimes, just sometimes, I get to see a design study that makes me think I am wrong. This is the case here.
David Cordoso, an independent designer, created a very interesting design proposal for a next generation Volkswagen Beetle. Not only that this design proposal is very interesting, but it actually looks like it could be produced if the German automaker would like the idea of the young independent designer.
According to David Cordosso, the next generation Volkswagen Beetle should be an emission free, all electric vehicle. If we look at the latest plans of the German automaker, a gasoline - electric hybrid or, why not, an all electric next generation Volkswagen Beetle might be in the works.
In terms of design, I am really impressed with the design created by David Cordosso. The car looks really dynamic, modern, fresh if you want. My only complaint would be the headlights that look very feminine. If that minor issue would be corrected, the Volkswagen Beetle envisioned by David Cordosso would be a blast.
