Carroll Shelby, the Mustang's lovers legend, 87 years old, is thinking about retiring from the car business.
He officially declared that the 2011 Mustang GT 350 may be his final project he's doing.
His retiring has little to do with his age, he says, believing that performance parts development and selling is a lot more useful than his Mustangs.A lot of people might argue with taht, but that's what he stated.
"It's hard to make any money on a car," Shelby stated for the Dallas News, "But our parts business is growing 15 to 20 percent a year."
If he doesn't makes up his mind, and he's gowing on with his retiring, the GT350 will be still made for a few other years, 500 units anually. He may aso franchise his trademark to a series of nationwide Mustang tuners and Super Snake models.
The sales dropped off substantially and the company had to let go nearly 40% of ti's people.
