Drunk driver tries to avoid paying fee launching the car in the air

A 22-year-old woman, Yasmine Villasana, was captured on film early yesterday morning at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport literally flying over a toll booth at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The driver of a Chevy Impala clipped the toll booth protector barricade launching her car into the air, apparently seeking to avoid going through the booth.

After the car landed, she got out and made a call on her cell, at which point the vehicle exploded. She managed to escape only with a broken wrist, while no other person was hurt during the incident.

According to the police report, Villasana told officers that she "had been rear-ended as she was approaching the Toll Plaza which caused her vehicle to strike the Toll Booth Protector Barricade, launch into the air, land on the roadway and catch on fire."

Villasana was charged with drunk driving after the breathalyzer test, although she told officers that she wasn't drunk at all stating "she had one cranberry and vodka last night."

DFW spokesman David Magana confirms: "The driver was, as you might guess, suspected of inebriation and investigated for such and arrested for such."
