Due to the high level of pollution in the center of London, the traditional iconic black cabs will be hybrid, in the near future.
The car will run on a combination of hydrogen fuel cells and electricity, being able to recharge in 5 minutes.
The car will be able to reach the top speed of 80 mph, while it will still have the same traditional shape.
The consortium that builds this cars wants to get aditional finance to build a full fleet by the 2012 Olympics.
