Jaguar to celebrate 25,000 XF sales

In order to celebrate the imminent sale of the 25,000th XF in the UK1, Jaguar has launched a SMS competition to win a brand new XF to help raise funds for the NSPCC.

The participants can win a 3.0 liter diesel XF saloon, which worth 38,000 pounds. To be in for a chance to win the car, entrants must correctly answer a question about Jaguar via text. Each entry costs 3.00 which includes the cost of a standard SMS text with the proceeds going to the NSPCC Helpline, an association dedicated to children in need of assistance.

The question is: "Which anniversary is Jaguar celebrating this year: 25th, 50th or 75th?" Participants can text DONATE followed by 25, 50 or 75 to 83138. The XF competition runs until January 31 and the winner will be announced on February 7, 2011.

"We hope that the money raised will help grow ChildLine so it can answer every call, text and e-mail from children," Geoff Cousins, Managing Director of Jaguar said.

Geoff Cousins also says that he wants to celebrate Jaguar XF's sales in an innovative way. The XF has been a huge success across the world and even outsold its predecessor, the S-Type.

Launched in March 2008, Jaguar XF sales in May were up 75 per cent compared to May 2009, the eleventh consecutive month of sales growth, while year to date sales are up 41 percent.
