Bugatti Veyron Supersport is confirmed

Rumors of a lighter and more powerful version of the current Bugatti Veyron, which have been around since the car was originally launched, have turned into reality. Launched in 2005, the Veyron changed the world’s perception about what a car can do.

The new edition is called Bugatti Veyron SuperSport and will shed some of the standard car's weight and offer even more power.

Only thirty units of the new Supersport car model of the Bugatti Veyron would be made. This edition will be the last version of the Veyron supercar before it goes out of production. It will receive an impressive 1200 hp but will also be lighter with 300 kg comparing to the current version, thanks to the use of carbon fiber. Each of the 30 units would carry a price tag of €1,650,000 which converts to $2,044,000 at the current rates of conversion.

Because of the weight reduction and its power, the new Bugatti Veyron SuperSport will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.2 seconds, while it will achieve a top speed of 264 km/h.

A Bugatti customer has already placed a €400k advance for the new model and also confirmed that the new model will feature a few exterior styling changes.

The official debut would be done at California's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August and deliveries will begin at the end of this year.
