Nissan Juke hits 15,000 orders in Europe

Following the Nissan Juke price announcement across Europe at the beginning of June, Nissan has registered just over 15,000 orders.

The Juke, Nissan's new addition to its Crossover range, combines SUV toughness and sporty style. Its design is bold and striking on order to inject some masculinity and dynamism into the small car market.

The car comes in Visia, Acenta and Tekna equipment levels. The Juke rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and it's fitted with ESP, six airbags, sports seats and air conditioning. The Acenta comes with 17-inch alloys, climate control, Bluetooth with USB connectivity and the Nissan Dynamic Control System, as entry level standard features.

Inside, the sports car theme continues with a cockpit oriented cabin dominated by a centre console design inspired by a motorcycle fuel tank and finished in a distinctive high gloss colour - metallic red or grey.

Juke is available in a choice of three engine units when sales start later in the year: one diesel and two 1.6-litre petrol units, all fully Euro 5 compliant. At the top of the range is a new turbocharged petrol engine (MR16DDT) with direct injection (DIG-T). The engine is one of the most powerful in its class, developing 190PS and 240 Nm. The second petrol engine develops 86kW (117 PS), while the the 81kW (110PS) 1.5-litre dCi common rail diesel offers excellent driveability - thanks to its heady 240 Nm of torque.

Customer deliveries will begin across Europe in October.
