2011 Dodge Challenger spotted!

Dodge havenít released any official pictures of the 2011 Dodge Challenger but a Moparts forum user managed to snag some photos of the 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T facelift this week. The images reveal some subtle modifications over the carís exterior and no camouflage at all.

The cosmetic changes over the 2009/2010 muscle-coupe include a redesigned front bumper with a new intake opening which is essential turned upside down and the elimination of the Ram nose emblem on the hood, plus a new set of door handles. It is possible that the 2011 Challenger could feature more changes on the outside and in particular the rear end as we don't have any other photos of the car.

No photos of the rear were provided. The car can be seen riding on new blacked-out five-spoke wheels, which already look to have been scratched.

It is believed that the refreshed Challenger will get a much needed reworked interior with a new design and upgraded materials.

Only three years into its product cycle, look for the facelifted Challenger to debut by the end of the year, possibly in Los Angeles.

Rumor has that the 2011 Challenger will also benefit from some important changes under the hood. The car is expected to get a selection of new engines, including the Chrysler's new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine sending out up to 300 horsepower (224 kW) for the Challenger SE base model, while the flagship SRT8 will receive a new 6.4-liter V8 featuring MDS and delivering about 480 hp (358 kW), a 13% increase over the current model, and 460 lb-ft of torque.
