Honda Pegasus by Andrus Ciprian - a retro-modern concept car

After releasing some out-of-this-world designs for concept vehicles such as the Hummer HB, Mazda RX-Z and Dacia MC, Andrus Ciprian, an independent designer based out of Romania, has proved that he can do more and came with a new design study.

Dubbed the "Honda Pegasus", the Romanian independent designer has designed a single-seat racing car, which combines the classic concepts with the modern racing cars. He was inspired by the Harley Earls' legendary GM Firebird concept. The legendary GM Firebird cars were prevalent and popular in the 1950s. The influences can be seen on the car's array of wings, spoilers and air management systems located all around the vehicle.

The airplane-inspired bodywork of the Honda Pegasus reminds us all of the Pontiac Firebird II, with the front/rear wings having a futuristic design and the spoiler adding to the aerodynamics of the vehicle.

The designer has opted to apply this inspiration on a futuristic Honda racing car and not on something that originated from GM. In the end we get an Andrus Ciprian creation that looks like a futuristic Honda racing car.

A small gas-turbine jet engine located at the rear the power source for the imaginary winged prototype. The other features of this conceived prototype include especially designed wheels that significantly increase the air-flow to the brakes.
