It seems that in 2012 we will see a new mini-Renault,made by the French producers in cooperation with Daimler. This car will share the technical platform with the future Smart. According to German AutoBuild, Renault and Daimler cooperates to release a new mini car category, which will underpin the future Smart design. This city car will appear in 2012, it will have a length of 2.85 meters and a 3+1 seating configuration. Renault Mini will have a 0.9 liter 3 cylinders gasoline engine, but a diesel electric version is not excluded. However, the basic price won't be a "mini": an amount is estimated at around 10.000 euros for the new Mini Renault. This makes us wonder whether this platform would be feasible for a Mini Dacia, which should cost less than 5.000 euros to have the expected success.
