Skoda is bringing to our attention a new model, soon available, and it will be something new even for the company itself.
The base of the car, that will probably have the name Felicia, will be Polo sedan’s platform. The vehicle to appear can be a sedan version of Fabia at low-costs. The new Felicia tries to achieve to main goals. The first will be the replacement of Octavia Tour in Skoda’s range (Octavia Tour is the first generation of Octavia available considered to be a low-cost vehicle). The new vehicle will be in competition with Renault/Dacia Logan, car that enjoyed a great success thanks to its good quality/price ration. The car will have the choice of a two petrol engines (a 1.4 liter and a 1.6 liter) and a 1.6 liter TDI unit, and promises to offer a generous interior space.
Since Skoda keeps us under pressure with the reveal of the model independent automotive designers created their own version of what Felicia will look like. An industrial design student from Italy created the sketches of Felicia and published them on automocionblog; the images reveal an innovative concept for a car that will be at a low-cost.
The student combined traditional Skoda elements with ultra-modern design features among we can mention an interchangeable panel (window included) that allows the transformation from a hatchback to a station wagon, special features for the rear side and we can also observe plastic protection elements for the doors.
