A new creation of Ford, Shelby GT500 Super Snake is able to boast up to 800 horsepower, came to our attention recently The Super Snake starts life as a standard 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 and is available either at Shelby American`s Las Vegas assembly plant or at one of several Shelby-backed "Mod Shops". Also the package contains a Ford Racing handling pack with a front strut tower brace, unique stabilizer bars, dynamic adjustable dampers and lowering springs. Customers have the choice of three supercharger kits that can pump up to 800 horsepower. A Shelby/Ford Racing supercharger increases power to 660 horsepower, a healthy increase over the standard GT500`s 550 ponies. For some more power you can try a Shelby/Ford Racing or Shelby/Kenne Belle supercharger can be added, along with an upgraded driveshaft and a billet twin 75mm throttle body for a total of 750 . The package with 750 horsepower increases the price of a factory GT500 with $30,245. The most important piece of 2011 is the optional Shelby/Kenne Bell 800 horsepower tuning. All Super Snakes assigned a unique Shelby serial number and they will be listed in the Shelby registry. Models comes with new improvements such as Borla exhaust, 20-inch Alcoa/Shelby wheels in a choice of two shades, a short-throw six-speed manual transmission, Baer forged brakes with six-piston calipers and cross-drilled and vented rotors , custom styling touches including brake cooling ducts and Shelby badging throughout.
