Detroit auto show welcoming Porsche aftter 3 years of absence

German automaker Porsche will make its first appearance at the North America International Auto Show in three years, according to Autonews. The company pulled out of the Detroit showcase in 2008 amidst the financial crisis.
Porsche's return could be partnered with the Volkswagen space at the 2011 Detroit show, said NAIAS spokesman Sam Locricchio
The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is expected to be released in 2011 with a 408-horsepower 3.8-liter straight-six engine that is roughly six percent more powerful than the engine on the 911 Carrera S. The car could be featured in Detroit when the 2011 NAIAS kicks off in January
