582 US car dealers and 130 Canadian car dealers are to take part in a meeting organized by Volkswagen company representatives, in Atlanta, where they are going to expose future plans regarding Volkswagen models.
The agenda of the meeting includes also a drive of more than 700 all-new 2011 Volkswgen Jetta sedans to the company`s brand-new assembly plant, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
An official statement to the press reveals that the German automaker intends introduce four all-new models in the USA in 2011. The NMS mid-size sedan, Beetle, Tiguan and Eos make up the four models mentioned previously.
Also, according to the Volkswagen officials, the introduction of these four models is aiming to join the 2010 launch of the all-new Jetta and new Touareg, each of the vehicle being critical to achieve Volkswagen`s Group`s target of selling one million vehicles annually in the US by the year 2018.
Other detailed information has not been released yet, but an accurate one is that the NMS mid-size sedan is new and the Tiguan and Eos models will receive a mid-life improvement.
Concerning the Beetle model, it is well-known that it has been on the market since 1998 and the production of the current model is set to stop in 2011.
In addition to this, Volkswagen will present a brand-new version of the retro-styled Beetle, which is pretty much likely to be presented at an upcoming international motor show such as the LA, taking place in November 2010, or Detroit, which is about to take place in January 2011.
