Negotiations between automakers from Saab and BMW are taking place in order to power the next generation of Saab models.
An official statement released to the press by the Swedish car producer, informs that talks are in full progress and once a final agreement has been reached, it will also be released in the media.
An unnamed source from the inside claims that the first Saab to benefit from the proposed deal is to be the next 9-3 model, being available on the market in 2012. BMW is developing a new 222-horsepower which will be applied by Saab in its car producing line. This same engine wood also fit under the hood of the new 9-5.
It has also been announced that talks between the two automakers include Saab buying diesel engines from BMW.
At the end of this week, a final announcement is expected to be made.
