The new 2011 Dodge Challenger, with the V8.4-liter backed by a two-speed automatic racing transmission, is a proof that Dodge is still fighting Mustang Cobra Jet. The car model is planned to make its debut at the Viper Owner`s Invitational, which is scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City, and then it is going to show up at SEMA in November. Pietro Gorlier, Mopar CEO and president considers that the introduction of the new 2011 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak, Mopar will enjoy the privilege of being the only place that gets a factory-built V10-powered race-ready drag car. It is a strong appeal to racers, together with collectors, dealers and all Dodge Viper owners. The car will be available in two forms: the Stock Eliminator and the Super Stock one, riding on comp tires and comp wheels which are attached to a solid rear axle. Among the options, customers can find a $7,950 competition package, a $6,800 paint option and a $950 body wrap. But all these performances and the enjoyment that comes within them, have a price of $85,512 for each of the 70 examples Mopar will build.
