General Motors tease car fans with pictures of the 2012 Buick Verano

Photos of the 2012 Buick Verano compact sedan, which would make any car enthusiast jealous, were presented by General Motors these days. Information by the Detroit automaker announces that this car model will be built alongside Chevrolet`s new small car in Michigan, while $145 million are spent to upgrade the factory in order to meet the required demands for building such a car. This important investment also gives the opportunity for GM`s local small car factory to extend and, implicitly, the number of U.S.-made cars will increase considerably.
Mark Reuss, the GM North American president is sure that future drivers of this model will be pleased to find only styling, high-class performance and comfort.
Lacking the specific details provided by the car producers, the pictures seem to be enough to think that the car shares the same engine features with Chevrolet Cruze and will find many similarities with the Buick Excelle GT, which was sold in China, which in its turn proves to be a sedan version of the latest generation Opel Astra.
The factory improvements are expected to end sometime by the summer of 2011 and the launching of the car model in U.S. is to happen the same year.
