Chevrolet Spark debuts as Holden Barina Spark at the Sydney Motor Show

After having already been on sale in Europe and Asia for some months now, the new Chevrolet Spark is ready to be launched in Australia, too, and General Motors is thoroughly planning this. A natural step is to make its official debut at the Sydney Motor Show and then it is expected to be launched on the market at the end of 2010, wearing the name of Holden Barina Spark.
The car model is supposed to be an affordable model, offering customers a a range consisting of three- and five-door hatchbacks together with a four-door sedan.
The boot hosts a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that provides a fuel economy of around 5.6lt/100 km, with a six-speed manual transmission.
The car presents standard equipment, which includes six airbags, fog lamps, alloy wheels and Electronic Stability Control, while the price and other specific details are scheduled to be released at the Sydney Show, between 15th and 24th of October.The producers are very confident in the positive response of the car model, considering that this model breaks some moulds, offering safety, efficiency at an advantageous price.
The Americans will also have the opportunity to experience the Holden Barina Spark sometime later, in 2012.
