UCS Automaker Rankings 2010

The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) has just named Honda the Greenest Automaker for the fifth time in a row, although Business Car gave the title to Toyota in 2009 and Dow Jones named BMW the Greenest Automaker of the same year.

Hyundai and Toyota came second to Honda, claiming the Most Fuel-Efficient Automaker in the U.S. title and Chrysler was named the Most Polluting Automaker, close to Ford and General Motors.

The scores were based on smog-forming and greenhouse gas emissions (primarily CO2) numbers.
